The Path of Compassion

Meditation day course, with Gen Chonyi

Sunday 27th September, 10.30am-4.30pm

Recorded webinar sessions available for 72 hours after the end of the course

  • Compassion is at the heart of our spiritual life. It is a mind that finds the sufferings of others unbearable, but pure compassion does not make us depressed. In fact it gives us tremendous energy to work for others and to complete the spiritual path for their sake.
  • The day will include talks and guided meditations based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang's latest book The Mirror of Dharma with Additions in which he shares his deep experience gained from a lifetime spent in meditation. This book is available from Tharpa Publications in paper and in eBook format.

  • Please book at least three hours before the start time to be sure of receiving the links ready to join at scheduled time.

“Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible. We all wish for world peace, but world peace will never be acheived unless we first establish peace within our own minds. We can send so-called 'peacekeeping forces' into areas of conflict, but peace cannot be imposed from the outside with guns. Only by creating peace within our own mind and helping others to do the same can we hope to achieve peace in this world.”
