Vajrasattva Purification Retreat

Vajrasattva

Vajrasattva Purification Retreat

with Gen Chonyi

Thursday 7th - Sunday 10th November -

@ Kadampa Meditation Centre, Exeter, 55 Union Road, Exeter

Vajrasattva Purification Retreat

We dedicate most of our time and energy trying to avoid problems by making changes to the external world. However, the main cause of our unhappiness and difficulties cannot be found in external conditions. It is the negative karma we have created in the past through performing harmful actions. By relying upon Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification we will cleanse our mind of delusions, negativity and obstacles. Through special meditation and mantra recitation we have the great opportunity to purify our mind quickly, so that we can make swift progress on the spiritual path.

This retreat is more suitable for those who already have some experience of our other classes and events. Apart from the introduction on Thursday evening the other sessions will be unguided - although there will be an explanatory guidance sheet and some suggested reading to help you deepen your understanding.

love that works

morning course with Gen Chonyi

Saturday 24th February, 10.00am – 12.30pm

@ Pure Land Buddhist Centre, 55 Union Road, Exeter

Love that works!

Why does it seem that our love leads to so much pain, anxiety and general distress? It is because we fail to understand the difference between love and attachment. Pure love is a completely reliable source of happiness whereas the pain and sorrow in our relationships arises from our attachment.

By learning how to discriminate clearly between love and attachment our relationships with partner, family and friends will become more harmonious and we will draw closer to an experience of lasting happiness.
